Now I am getting hundreds of emails asking if I emailed them a virus. I haven't even been on it since Friday am. I changed the password and am updating everything but I wasn't on the account when they were sent?       :argh:
1. Did you check your outbox -- you may have been spoofed
It's possible that someone didn't access your email account, but they're using your email address to send out a virus. It's still a good idea to change your password, as you have done, but your account may not have been compromised.
3. Okay -- but did it actually come from your sent folder (not outbox - apologies)? At this point...

I'd send out a blinded email to all your friends advising them to not open ANY mail coming from your old account and set up a new one. Sorry. I know this sucks.
5. Same thing happened to my hotmail account this weekend.
I think it's a worm that's using contact lists, so I wrote down the addresses in my list and deleted the entire contact list. I also changed the password.
