What turned you on about your "first love"?
.
My first REAL love was my ex-wife -- had some relationships before that but
was never fooled into self-overexaggeration.
.
However, my first hardcore "like" was in the 2nd grade -- Cheryl Z., cute,
long silky blonde hair to her butt, sweet, smart -- EVERYTHING. Both Steve
and I were attracted to her and we formed "gangs" to determine which one of
us would win her hand (I don't think she was even aware of this... and maybe
not even aware of either one of US).
.
Our "gang" war was quickly quashed by the nuns when it escalated to the level of
monkeybar leglock fights. We were distracted by frogs or the Soap Box Derby or
something and we were once again friends and Cheryl faded off into the distance.
.
For a while.
.
.
.
My little brother's first love was the girl at the end of the block because she
could WHACK a baseball further than anyone else in the neighborhood.
.
.
What drew you to your first "love"?
.
.

.

Didn't want to "pee in my own pool" as they say.

Saw TOO many girlfriends get burned by their
"first loves" and then have to deal with them
AT SCHOOL or their bullshit talk in the locker room.

Well, that and the 6-pack abs.....

10. I so thought you were a woman. Maybe the mom in your name made
me think that.

My first love was my husband. I was 15. I actually went out with him so I wouldn't have to go out with this other dude, but his kindness and sense of humor did it for me. :) And almost 17 years later, we are still together. Married for 8 years!!

25. The Mom in my username is the only gender-bending I do...
.
...and it's sometimes great fun (like when Skittles scheduled me for
an ass-kicking for making her think I was a woman talking about all
the hair on my chest turning gray).
.
Many have seen this story already. I'm proud to say that Kali is a
friend of mine IRL... and she was trying to get me to register here
for a long time. She says that LeftyFingerPop's and my senses of
humor are similarly twisted, so she thought I had snuck on with
that name without telling her. Thought that was so funny that my
username is simply a riff off his.
.
I love your story (and those who've had similar ones). First love
and still together 17 years later. That make me feel really good.
.
More than a little envious -- but really good at the same time
,
Good for BOTH of you... in all sorts of ways.
.

15. his eyes
he was at my place for a party my room mate had given and I wasn't there all the time but when it was getting later and I came home to go to sleep, he was (still) there.

I had gone out with someone else and I had seen him when I was leaving and there was that thing. What is that thing? I don't exactly know. But it was like talking to someone without talking to him - unfortunately, what wid yuth, that talk was carnal. When I saw him, he was looking at me. Every time.

And then we sat up and talked until about five in the morning and then, well, I had to leave town the next day and he followed me the day after and stayed with me for a few weeks and then we stayed together all the time for months and months and then we sort of became semi-rational again and did other things and the more I found out about him the more I liked him.

ah yuth. he called me a few years ago. that was strange. I remembered that feeling but I also thinking that I am not that same person anymore. Too many years between me and that younger me.

And he was such a daredevil. I was the "older woman". He was five and I was about six months older. We were in kindergarten together and engaged to be married after knowing each other for a couple of days. Both of us were hell on wheels, so it was a good fit.

Many years later (well, about 25 years) we ran across each other again when I was in Germany visiting my parents, and he hadn't changed much at all - with the exception that he was married. And so was I. But we hit it off again right away...

19. A sense of belonging.
I felt that we were just meant to be together. She was accepting of me, and I was accepting of her, and we just seemed to fit together emotionally. Plus, I was really attracted to her spunky, tomboyish personality.

Also, I think I sensed something of a wounded spirit inside her. I think, for whatever reason God only knows, that she always felt like other people looked down on her. I feel that way too, and it made me love her that much more. I wanted to protect her from those feelings and lift her up so she would never feel that way again.

Plus, I thought she was gorgeous. But that was just icing on the cake.

21. Swooned for a sailor
with dreamy brown eyes and pouty lips. In that uniform, he looked really good walking away. He was four years older, a great dancer, loved to send roses. And when I graduated HS he gave me a ring and a GTO. Sadly, he was also a con artist. But it was one heck of a swoon while it lasted!

(Hmmm -- Am I old? Does anyone else even use the word 'swoon' these days?)

She was 5'11, voluptuous and gorgeous. She was half-Filipino/half-German. She was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen.

It only lasted a year and half, she was hell on wheels but man, what a ride.

Six feet tall with shoulder-length blonde curls, rode a motorcycle. He played the guitar and sang Sugar Magnolia to me.

He took me to prom, and we were inseparable for about 9 months - in lust and in deep puppy love, like only 17 year olds can be. We broke up for a year and then got back together again for another year during college.

We eventually grew apart, but wow...it was really great while it lasted. I eventually married a guy who looked like him, and he married a girl with a personality like mine. We still stay in touch, and I'm really glad he has a nice family and a nice life.

43. I was always attracted to older women
I remember at the age of 5 or 6 being very drawn to a woman who was about two decades older than me. I remember insisting that she sit and play with me and I wouldn't let her do anything else. I guess it was an attraction because I thought she was absolutely beautiful

I can't remember who my first real love was but it must have been someone much older than me because I have never been that attracted to people my own age or younger

:D

She's intelligent, funny, back when we met (in college almost 20 years ago) she had an incredible body (still nice, but added a few pounds), very emotionally sensitive and has nice hands.

We're just friends (and really always were just friends), and married to other people, but we get along really well even today.

She's also insecure and vulnerable in a way I find rather endearing.

I'm very happy that we've reconnected through FB and gotten to know each other again and she seems very happy in her relationship, which is great to see.
