24. I keep forgetting about the shuffle feature. I need to use it more often.
I've got a over 400 albums on my ipod and haven't even converted all my CD's yet. I tend to listen to the same few because I don't feel like scrolling through all of them.

I refuse to use overpriced proprietary crap.

My $10 2Gb mp3 player works just fine, thank you. Has REPLACEABLE battery, lets me play mp3, wav and wma(like I would use that) files.

36. Love the Zen XFi sound quality. The Random play could use more "Random", however.
Can't really do the whole iPod thing. I'm not really interested in the whole "paying $50 more for the name" or DRM or converting all of my .wma files into iTunes format. Rip CD, put on player via WinAmp, DONE.

I use Creative Labs. My old Zen Micro sounds better than my brother's new Ipod. I agree with all your points and would ad that the Ipod is designed to push the user to the Itunes store.
