So, one of my two cats has decided she is a kitten again
She's a big tuxedo cat that weighs in at 18 pounds and can stretch to almost 4 feet when she wants something off the counter.

Just recently, and I think this is an influence of our smaller abd more insane cat, she has begun playing in the same way she did when she was under a year old. Just little things like dragging a toy up the stairs and meowing to play (after midnight), having bezerker runs for no reason at all and launching herself off of elevated objects in attempts to surprise and subdue her little yellow ball.

But, as I said, she's a big cat. There is nothing quite like waking up thinking your lungs have just collapsed and realizing that your pet had launched herself from the dresser onto your chest while you were trying to sleep (This happened last night.).

Love seeing her act young again, but, man, it can hurt.

1. Welcome to my night, every night...
...three cats and one or more always decides I need a chest jump at some point, although mine aren't HUGE like yours!

2. My 17-year-old female is friskier than the younger males.
I hear her skittering around the living room in the morning and she patrols the house while the boys go back to bed. :)

3. Cats like to play their entire life. Yes, also, they like to jump on
another cat, for fun, to play, and they consider us as, ... large cats.
So yes, they will jump right on us.
In Berkeley, I had a very old neighbor, who was a bit hunched over. Whenever my Siamese saw him, he thought that hunched over back was a nice riding platform, and would jump up onto the old man's back, to go for a ride, I guess. He thought he was riding a horse, perhaps.
