3. I don't think you missed all that much

Opening jokes attacked Kerry for going on vacation and for allegedly swearing at the Secret Service agent. The biggest bit before the interview was Rob Corddry kidding about the thrill of going on the road to cover the campaign. The interview - I don't remember, I was fixing dinner... I think it was Wynton Marsalis. So unless you're a big Marsalis fan, you didn't miss much.

Edit to add: Stewart also covered the Clarke interview on 60 Minutes in the opening jokes, but I was in the kitchen again at that point. Didn't hear the mister laughing at it though, so it probably didn't zing much.
