America's favorite rodent predicts long winter.
http://www.groundhog.org/

Apparently, sunny skies at the beginning of February means that cold temperatures will continue for about a month and a half. OTOH, a cloud cover means that heat is prevented from escaping into space. This supposedly means a short winter.

Well, the sunny skies made the woodchuck cast a shadow.

9. Well, 6 more weeks of winter kind of brings us up to the first day of Spring
and I can live with that. Here in Wisconsin Spring doesn't usually really get here until April sometime.
