1. In cleaning out the canal of root,
did they ever go too deep and touch live nerve, only to have to shoot you up again to deaden the rest and continue prepping the canal for filling? (Yes, this has happened to me many times...) ;)

7. Wow !!
How did you know? Yeah they did. They gave me 8 shots in my jaw and still could not relieve the pain. So they brought in this old guy, and he hit some nerve, that was like a an electric shock, that I felt clear down to my finger tips..and after that they worked on it for a few hours.

They gave me a temporary filling, so I have to go back.

11. Yeah, that's how root canals are...
The only time it hasn't happened was last year when I needed one in a rear lower molar and had to go to an oral surgeon. Root canals are all they do, all day long, and were the most professional dental technicians I've ever had the pleasure of being "under" ;)

10. At least they gave that kid gas...
My doctors office didn't have it. The last time I had been given gas, I was a happy camper going home.

14. The last time I had the gas..
It was far better then any kind of high, I ever had. I would take that over beer or pot, any day of the week.

21. Well.. how shall I answer that..
No.. Even though my dad is a dentist, I never got to play with the gas. I was told you have to have the correct mixture other wise it can be deadly.

Still..in the right hands..

23. The party I went to, someone had "borrowed" a half-full tank of NO2.
So, we filled balloons and passed them around, Breathing in a little like with helium :)

That was also the party where I got to have some real absinthe, not the filtered kind that's legal now...

4. Hope you are feeling better.
After my root canal I used oil of oregano.

Took the pain away after 2 hours, never came back.

Also good if wisdom teeth are coming in.

13. I've tried oil of oregano recently
(for upper chest congestion) but can't figure out how to keep from getting almost "burned" by the flavor if using directly on my teeth and gums. Did you hold it in place with something, like gauze or a cotton ball?

15. Capsules, the liquid kind.
The taste is really strong.

Just swallow the capsules, the will work.

Worked when I had the flu or whatever it was.

17. What I did was mix it with some olive oil in a glass of soy milk,
emulsifying with a wire whisk. Then I didn't taste so much and it worked great! :D

I have a little bottle of 70% strength. It still might be worth trying with a cotton ball on my gums as I have a cleaning scheduled next week...

26. Lots of info on the internet.
I wasn't really interested in herbs when I kid.

So much of my Grandmother's wisdom went with her, that is a shame.

She made a tonic out of herbs, didn't taste bad.

I was never sick.

and one on "healing foods", yet I still use the internet as there's so much more info than even all that ;)
