I gave up bikes in 1981 after a BAD, scary accident where a
drunk kid in a station wagon doing 55 MPH hit me from behind
while I was waiting for a red light.
.
Took my car up to the White Mountains (NE Arizona) several
years ago and was reminded what riding was all about. Got a
Honda Shadow Spirit 1100cc and was in heaven (recently gave
it up again, for health and financial reasons this time).
.
Saw the greatest T-shirt (yours reminded me of it). Simply
said, "I'm riding my therapist."
.
I really miss going up Mt Lemmon on the weekends for a piece
of pie.
.
Friends would invite me out drinking and I'd tell them that
I wanted to be clear-headed for my trip up the mountain the
next day. One told me, "MiddleFingerMom, your whole life
revolves around pie."
.
I told him that it revolved around pie AND a 50-mile roundtrip
mountain motorcycle ride.
.
A friend of mine had a MUCH better answer to his "accusation".
.
She would have said, "So... ... ... what's yer point?"

didn't realize I was hitting milestones after I got to the 1000+ mark... I'm sure New Yorker 99 noted a few in the Lounge, but I rarely visited the Lounge my 1st year or so on DU.
