Was thinking of going to see Avatar, but wanted to know if the journey to the IMAX theater would be worth it.

2. I think so
IMAX screens are so much larger that the 3D seems more "real" than a regular theater. Plus, IMAX theaters generally have much better sound systems, which to me is important for the all around effect of the movie.

Viewing an IMAX movie, especially a 3D movie, is so much more engrossing than a regular movie theater.

3. Do the IMAX if you can,

and try not to sit too close to the screen. You'll have blast! :hi:

4. Do IMAX 3D only if you can get center theater seats

I could only get side seating and it was more than a bit annoying. Going to a regular 3D theater when I see it a second time.
