1. Yes!
Several times...

They were before my time in their prime, but my mom's best friend was a total FREAK fan of theirs. About 20 years ago, while vacationing in Hawaii, she ran into Peter on the beach, and never being the shy type, walks right up and starts talking to him. They've remained close friends to this day.

A really bizarre aside to that:

Recently, I was talking to my mom and she mentioned something about Peter asking about us...I was like "Ummm...ok...how so?" as I was rather confused by this. She says "Oh, Suzette tells him everything about you guys (meaning my sibs and I) and has for years." Now, this is the bizarre part...she told me that when I lived in NYC a few years ago, and got into...erm...some things I shouldn't have been getting into (long story:eyes:) Peter not only knew where I was in the city (including phone #), but was on stand-by lest my folks needed him to rescue me, identify my body, whatever. :wow:

Trip, eh? :D

3. Yes, in 1970.
Unfortunately, Paul had a cold and he sang his best but one could feel the agony of "the show must go one" in his hoarse voice.

7. I always loved watching them on PBS!!
Well it must be pledge time for your area like it is in mine. That was the only thing taht bothered me about watching them. It would always be shown during the new members drive.

11. My first concert...
I was about 5 and my brother was 4 and our parents were under the impression that the anticipation of "Puff the Magic Dragon" would keep us quiet through the two hours of grown up songs that came before it. We started screaming about 45 minutes in and they had to take us home early. They were livid- you still can't mention PP&M in front of them today.

I'd love to see them in concert today and see what I missed. :-)
