1. Agreed - we took enough bullshit from the LA papers, but I guess this just must be.
I want the Phils to take care of this business in 5 games, just like with the Dogggers. I want to give the NY fans a little bit of hope, then crush them totally.

Oh, yeah Yankees....Fuck you.

4. The Philly media has from time to time been known to indulge in opposing city-bashing as well
one columnist there, before an NFC championship game between the Eagles and Panthers, described Charlotte as "a city so dull, its nickname is... Charlotte.".

Actually, it's "the Queen City". And the Panthers won the game.

That piece, however, was completely over the top (wasn't the jail cell at the Vet designed for Eagles fans?).

6. and some of the drunken quotes are way over the top...
"Their most famous athlete is Rocky, and he's fictional," sneered Alex Rusu, 23, a building superintendent in Gramercy.

none of the guys are more famous than Rocky??

And don't even try to compare the iconic House That Ruth Built with the long-gone Veterans Stadium.

Well maybe not the Vet, but this place had a little history: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shibe_Park

9. It's the NY Post. 'nuff said.
They get their "news" by throwing darts at a noun-verb-noun board of topics.

10. The NY Post isn't even fit to wipe your ass with. I wouldn't line a litter box with it.
I wouldn't ruin a perfectly good fire by using the NY Post as fuel for it.

11. I'm a yankees fan
and I'm offended by that article. Most of my (extended) family are Phillies fans and it will be an interesting next week or so (between this and the ugly governor's race). I rooted for the Phillies last year when they were in the WS for the sake of my family, and also because I was a baby the last time they won. This time around I can't.

I nearly moved to Philly. I'd consider it again if I didn't like NJ so much.

BTW the NY Post is Rupert Murdoch's rag, and a POS newspaper.
