2. Kecksburg, PA incident in Dec. 1965
I grew up in the suburbs of Pgh. and saw something strange in the sky early that evening. Later, I heard on the news that a UFO crashed in Kecksburg. I was in 8th grade and we discussed it in Science class the next day. I recorded it in my diary. It still makes me smile to read it :-).

4. I saw one too in the late 70s.
To this day, I can remember every detail of its shape, color and movement. A vivid memory still.

5. Me too, it was high in the sky but flashed different colors
not like an airplane's lights. It was the first and only time I saw something that was also seen by others and mentioned on the news. I've seen other things since then, but nothing with multiple verifications.

10. No, I do not want to share this memory too deeply.
But it did have a living presence for me and the others who saw it.

:)

11. Cool!
Pennsylvania's Roswell. It's odd how little-known the Kecksburg incident is, even among people interested in the subject.

I couldn't identify it, though.

7. I've seen three traveling in a triangular formation, they didn't twinkle like stars...
they were equi-luminous and so far up they looked like three little planets moving along through the star dome before they just stopped...and then dissolved into an undefined, cloud-like form above Death Valley's night skies. To me they were UFO's

12. Betty Hill was from my home town
She was raised in Kingston, NH. She and her husband, Barney, are buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Kingston. My parents own a plot in this same cemetery, so maybe they will get to meet the Hill's gray friends at some point!

16. Forgot the background...sorry!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betty_Hill

Betty and Barney Hill were an American married couple who rose to fame after they claimed to have been abducted by extraterrestrials on September 19–20, 1961.

The couple's story, commonly called the Hill Abduction, and occasionally the Zeta Reticuli Incident, was that they were victims of a UFO abduction. Theirs was the first widely-publicized claim of alien abduction, adapted into the best-selling 1966 book The Interrupted Journey and a television movie.

14. Once as a kid, did not know what the intense light
and no sound behind my house in Mexico City was... no sound...

By definition a UFO... did not say Alien. And if it was... well then... no annal probes involved...

:-)

A second time over San Diego... strange contrail, sonic boom. I am proof positive it was Aurora, but the AF would never confirm or deny... therefore that is a UFO too.

18. No , and glad; I think it would scare the hell out of me
especially because I've become convinced that a certain small percentage of sightings are absolutely real.

19. It was flying in the air and I didn't know what it was
but I don't think if was an alien ship. I was out on my balcony smoking a cig and I was this ball of flame rise up into the air about three blocks from my house. It looked like a hot air balloon but this thing moved way too quickly to be a hot air balloon. It quickly took off and disappeared. I have a weird neighbor who looks like Dumbledore, so I chalked it up to black magic.

20. I voted yes.
Unfortunately, nothing glittering in the sky hovering over me with buzzing sounds. But since I'm a hobbyist stargazer, I always look up and thought I spotted a satellite on its course. Until it changed course and went out of sight pretty fast.

21. I saw something that I couldn't explain..............
but I wouldn't call it a UFO as it wasn't flying.

I was in the southern England back in the early 90's doing some archeology on an old farm/quarry. I woke up in the middle of the night to heed the call of nature and I saw a collection of what looked like multiple headlights across the field and a hissing sound like steam being released. I didn't think much of it at the time as there was a road nearby and I figured it was a lorry or some such thing. When I got up the next day I looked in the direction of the lights and realized to my shock that the lights I saw could not have come from the road as the road was at about 3 o'clock from of the direction where I was looking. No one else working on the site saw or heard anything. I've even looked at the Google Maps of the site since then and it confirms my suspicion that there were only fields in the direction I saw the lights. Very weird.

22. If you mean objects in the sky that I couldn't identify, yes.
If you mean extraterrestrial spacecraft, truly doubt it.

24. No, but I knew the people in one of the most famous abduction cases.
Their names were (are, I guess) Calvin Parker and Charles Hickson. They were shipyard workers in Pascagoula, Mississippi, where my grandparents ran a cafe in which I worked and that the two of them frequented. In 1973 they were supposedly abducted by aliens. It was a HUGE deal, and you can the audio police interviews with them on Youtube. There was a spate of UFO sightings around then and everyone was tweaked as all get-out about it. I have no idea what really happened to those guys (they were, in fact, pretty prodigious drinkers according to my grandmother) but they certainly seemed to believe it. Hickson, who was really young, had a bit of a nervous breakdown afterward.

25. I was driving along in the early evening
When a pretty large lit object shot across the sky quickly, then disappeared beyond the trees. It was fast and it was dramatic.

I told everybody about it that night. The next day I heard on the radio that many people across central and northern New Hampshire saw something as well.

The sighting was never explained. This happened about 10 or 15 miles from where the Hills had their experience so many years ago.
