Rocky Horror Picture Show tomorrow night midnight....to go or not to go
I'll be the first to admit that I feel (SAY IT!) old. I havent participated since college in the mid 90's (ASSHOLE!)

Have you ever seen the movie at a showing with participation?

1. The answer to this is always yes.
I used to go all the time (complete with cast and a great audience) both in Boston and in Clearwater/St.Pete. I go every couple of years on Halloween at the Tampa Theater.

CASTLES DON'T HAVE PHONES, ASSHOLE!

2. For God sakes go and don't forget your props
Check and see if they allow water and rice - many places ban them due to safety concerns.

Definintely

  • newspaper
  • umbrella (optional)
  • rubber gloves
  • noisemaker
  • toilet paper (preferably Scott brand)

I've always wanted to go to one but I know they how they like to treat the "virgins" so I've always been hesitant.

    8. The production I'm musically directing opens next week.
A real live stage show, not a movie showing. See my post about it elsewhere in the Lounge. :)

    10. GO!

    Do go. You'll enjoy it.
At the very least bring along rice, a lighter, a newspaper, and a squirtgun/spraybottle with H2O. That way you can participate in the wedding scene(s) and There's a Light .
Don't worry...you'll know what to do when the time comes...

I forget the number of partici...

    ...PATION!
times I've seen the RHPS...we used to go just about every weekend to the Tiffany theater in Hollywood.
Friday and Saturday night, two showings. Midnight and 2AM.

Sometimes we'd go to the midnight show and if the audience was light for the 2AM showing we'd stick around for that as well...
'veterans' were always welcome, and you need a bunch of people up front to dance the Time Warp .

the best pariticpation I saw was at a local uni in the 70s, and the uni had a great drama program.

The ones at local movie theaters were pretty crude "actor" wise, but still fun.
