It has been a long day... I'm very drunk... many things are happening for me right now after a year that I would just as soon forget ever happened... and I almost feel reborn...

I remember back in the late 70's/early 80's, I had become a big fan of The Pretenders and after the deaths of Pete Farndon and James Honeyman-Scott, I thought that what could have been one of the all time great bands would fade into obscurity. Then came the release of Learning to Crawl and I felt.... good. One song in particular touched me like no other song ever has and has always been a signal of hope and rebirth for me... This coming from an atheist... But it is true. It is a Christmas song but to me much more... So tonight, I present to you The Pretenders performing 2000 Miles...
