Best on line way to find someone to date in LA area?

No, It's not for me. I've been married for forever and I have two teenagers and I live in Texas. That also explains why I have no clue about the online dating scene. I have a friend in LA who is willing to check out something I might recommend, but I don't know what to say. I read recently that 1 in 8 folks are meeting their spouse for the first time on line. What gives? Any of you single folks out there able to give advice?

1. I would suggest trying to meet someone IRL too

There are SO many events in the LA area, I would start going to art openings and lectures in the area.

But for some people this seems more challenging than for others. I also may change my mind about how easy this is after I hit 60 in another 11 years or so. :shrug: Have not walked in those shoes yet.

when I was interested in dating I tried signing up for eharmony. They rejected me. Months later they sent me an email saying they found a match for me, and I rejected them.

I think they were pretty new. I dont even remember the rejection letter, and maybe it had nothing to do with me, maybe there were just really no matches.

But, I got a definite rejection letter with no reason given.
