a shiny new Sacajawea coin to the du'er that finds me northern exposure episodes online
Challenge: find me re-runs of the tv show northern exposure .. online. I have the dvds.. i even have the vcr episodes..
what i don't have is the original tv shows.. they changed the music in the vcr/dvd versions.. i want the originals

Back in the 90's they used to have re-runs on A&E. later, The Hallmark channel picked them up. now, i don't know if any chanel runs this show.

so please help me out. if ya can "tape" the show on re-runs for me i'd be happy. or if ya can find it on line for me..

I must have it!

3. Wouldn't those likely just be ripped from the dvds?
If so they would be the same as what the OP already has

4. Possibly.
But not necessarily. Mininova has been good to me on getting original material. Anyone else that has a sweet spot to dl stuff is welcome to add theirs.

7. It's a torrent site.
You need a program to download the shows (sorry I wasn't more clear).

I like uTorrent.

9. The licensing for using the original music generally stayed with the shows in syndication
But did not cover the use of the music for reproduction in other media. WKRP has the same problem - the DVDs do not have the original music and in a lot of the shows it made a big difference. The YouTube scenes taken from the shows generally have the original music but then they may not be strictly legal.

This scene just would not be the same without the original music:

8. I can't help you with the originals.
I can take a picture of the Roslyn Cafe (minus the moose) for you tomorrow and email it to you though! :P

11. It's not that special.
And it's pretty cool. At the same time. Very beautiful, for sure. If you ever make it, hit me up.

Here are some pictures of the local terrain -

17. Thanks!
If you look at the last one - toward the top on the right is Roslyn (aka Cicely Alaska). Between Roslyn and the lake is the town of Ronald - it's hard to see as it's even smaller than Roslyn. That lake is the same lake that's in the first picture. The first picture was taken from the opposite side than the last photo.

That spot is really close to home - but it takes a while to get up there!

14. You can take pictures of The Brick and the front of the radio station, too.
Exteriors only, of course. ;)

16. I think the radio station is.... no more.
Bummer. :(

If memory serves (and it's not like I go to that side of the street for anything), the furniture store has commandeered the former radio station space.

Dr. Fleishman's "office" is still there though! Next to the PO. Hmm... Have you been in there yet? The gift shop?

Sucks if it's gone though. :(

I don't think I've been in THAT gift shop. :D

21. I looked today when I drove by -
It IS still there. It's Maurice's office they did away with - it used to be right next to the radio station.

18. I can probably find flvs,
but those usually suck. If you just want to watch the shows on your computer and don't care about "fuzzyness" issues, then I'll look around. Otherwise (make your own dvds or, indeed, even show them to other people) just forget I said anything...

Q3JR4.
Google is god.
