Back from a family reunion/Gramma's memorial service.
She died last year but this gathering was postponed so all the relatives, some of whom are very elderly, could attend. Let me say this: I always feel like a freak of nature, an oddball, the third wheel etc. What a joy it was to be with relatives from several generations who shared not only my physical characteristics but my quirks both good and bad, and to be forgiven and even embraced for the bad, and loved for the good.

What a sensation. I rarely spend time with anybody other than a sister or two. This was really something.

RIP Gramma. I wonder if you have any idea how many people loved you. I didn't know more than ten other people at the service, and the pews were nearly full.

1. I'm glad you had a good time with your family, crim son.
And if you are a freak of nature, it can only be in the best possible way, I'm sure.. :-) :hi::hug:

Thank you! I think that perhaps you and your wife would fit well with my freakish family, because you are intelligent, funny, kind and wonderful. We might seat the two of you at the head of the table.   :hi:

3. I had to respond; you had zero replies and I thought: "Not my crimmy. She's gonna have replies,
darn it!" B-)

Yeah, I come from a pretty freaky family (in a good way. We're all rabid, freaky liberals. I had lunch with my mother yesterday, and this straight-laced Alabama girl, liberal but straight-laced, was talking about how important it was that gay marriage become legal. My family is such a refreshing tonic for my wife's conservative evangelical family...)
