I arrived home last night after taking a carload of neighborhood kids for ice cream. I hit the garage door opener as I drove into the driveway to find Mr. Gonzo Gardener standing in the middle of our garage dressed in nothing more than flip flops while madly scratching away at his sun burnt (now peeling) back with the big bamboo back scratcher that my son gave him for Father's Day. If he hadn't had the radio turned up so loud, he might have even been aware that the door opener had been activated. :eyesroll:

and thankfully, so were the sugared up kiddies.

If you want funny, Sarge, you've got to stop by our place on a Sunday afternoon in late July or August.. after the cherry tomatoes and gourd vines have grown up over the fence surrounding the garden. Mr. Gonzo sits on an overturned bucket happily munching tomatoes wrapped in basil leaves while taking breaks from pulling weeds and harvesting veggies. Nothing brings me to tears.. tears induced by hysterical laughter.. faster than seeing my nekkid man bent over the zucchini patch with a big red circle stamped on his butt.

Seriously, stop in, get a bag of fresh organic veggies, and while you're here we'll turn the hose on him because I don't dare do that without witnesses. There are just too many places he could bury my body and get away with it around here. :evilgrin:

Thank you for the invite. If this rain ever goes away, I should have more than my share of fresh organic veggies in a couple of months. However, hosing down your naked spousal unit with cold water does sound like fun in the sun.
