I got a pet rat, help me name it...

I had an old aquarium that I've been debating using for something, and so last night broke down and got a rat from Petco. Now I'm at a loss as to what to name it. It's female and grey. I thought naming it along historical lines would be fun, but the partner doesn't agree with my choice of Numi, (or Pneumi, short for pneumonic plague--I had originally been fond of Bubo, but that seems too male).

So what should I name the rat? Suggestions?

Not so sure he'll be convinced but I'll try it. He's kind of wanting to stay away from scary names, ever since I named the parakeets Snake and Ratt, (which of course were named because of his fear of the two things, although he's warming up to rats suddenly).

Our Border collie-Heeler has no sheep to herd so she finds other activities to keep herself occupied. One of her faves is to look for a roof rat (small rats) in the back yard.
I say, " Sally, are there any Ratty-RaTINAs out there?!" as I let her out at night.
A creative young woman we know has a hairless rat. His name? Scrotum. :rofl:
