9. kinda shitty
yesterday was too - or part of it was.

I went on a ride last night and realized that I lost my house keys (and bike lock key) somewhere, and can't find them. Luckily I was able to borrow someone else's key to get back in, but I sure as fuck hope that (a) I did not drop them in front of my house and they were picked up in the 5 minutes it took me to realize they were gone and (b) no one steals my scooter.

11. Tired!!!
Up at 4:30am to wake up with coffee and a smoke. Read a little local news and DU. Test my daughter's blood sugar to make sure she is not going low, wake up hubby, and shower at 5:00am. Get myself ready for work. Take my supplements. Wake up my daughter at 6:00am to get her ferried over to my parents house next door. Get up the boys when they start hollering that they are awake (first son is 34 months old, second son is 24 months old!) Get my "happy" butt out the door and to work at 6:30am. Start my Monday fun at work with cleaning up the screw ups that the salesmen do and start my receivables and inventory discrepancies. Had to be back home at 10:00am to take care of the boys while my parents went to an appointment. Got back to work at 12:00pm and had to rush getting the deposit done for the owners to take to the bank during their lunch. no lunch for me since I took my lunch hour and then some to take care of the boys. Try to complete my tasks and getting interrupted to help out the salesmen on the sales counter, trying to prevent screw ups that I will need to fix later! Finally get to go home at 4:30pm. Get the low down from the parents on how all the kiddo's are doing. Get them out the door at 5:00pm. Get the boy's dinner done for 5:30pm feeding. Now sitting here, reading the nets and typing my day. It just might be a grilled cheese sandwich and soup dinner tonight!

This is my day, every day. Except for the having to come home and watch the boys. That happens every once in a while. And people at work wonder why I am tired!!!

15. Mondays are my most favorite day of the week
I travel to Boulder every Monday afternoon from Denver and see Jason. We watch Judy Judy and the news and then a game and toss back a few beers. Been doing it for a few months now. And he lets me have the computer while I am visiting!!!!

18. Mine started off with a totally fucked up missive from an attorney.
However, after some research and talking to a couple of people, I am confident in how to respond to this guy.

BTW, the attorney is someone I deal with related to my work; it's not a personal matter.

25. Well, I may have busted my leg.
Edited on Mon May-04-09 09:40 PM by Chan790
Not the important bone that supports my weight (the tibia) but the one that basically does nothing (the fibula) and is supposedly nearly-impossible to fracture because it's only really-attached to anything on one end. The other and apparently much more likely option is a rather-severe sprain. The best part...someone is going to ask how I did that...so I'm going to preemptively answer: I have no idea. I did it in my sleep. I woke up with a bruised deformity of an ankle that made sickening crepitus sounds when I stood up.

So now I'm in agony and in a support brace until the x-rays come back. At least I can walk around on it now.

34. No-- looking at a 'fatty mass" that was discovered in a catscan recently...
they're fairly confident its just that; a benign "fatty mass" ( not to be confused with the one above my neck) but as the doctors and labs had discovered some residual money they had failed to remove earlier, they thought they'd go on in and remove it. But I actually am just a little nervous until I get confirmation from the radiologist that its basically nothing ( the "mass" as opposed to the bill of course).....Meanwhile, I hope your leg gets better soon......abq e streeter

33. meh
not bad but not great

fixed a gate on the neighbor's so their cattle would stop getting out on the railroad and the railroad would stop calling me about it.

meanwhile we have 4 miles of railroad fence that needs to be rebuilt and I'm trying to be nice about it all so the railroad will do it (AZ is still a fence out state so legally it is their responsibility, but legally and getting the Union Pacific to move can be two different things) As usual all the guys out on the ground are cool but the dickheads at corp HQ are... well, dickheads.
