Go there and read the description, then look at the pic, that is certainly not a pic of a carbon frame bike..

1. Nope, that's it.

That's a 2100 from the mid 90's, looks like. It's a carbon fiber/aluminum composite, IIRC, not actually carbon fiber as it's used today. It was a good bike at the time, but it's heavy.

edit: can't spell "actually."

2. I see
interesting.

I am very skeptical, there are MANY ads on Craigslist for what I am 100% sure are stolen bikes/components, so I am being very cautious and careful.

3. You should be.
Smart move. Those pedals are seriously old school clipless, too.

4. LOL
I want normal pedals, not the kind that need fancy shoes...

5. So you want toeclips or platforms.
Rare on a top level road (or mountain) bikes, regardless of when it was made in the last decade.

I had to downgrade my Sugar to platforms when I bought her. I hate clipless. Stupid things.

6. I think I am just going to give in
and go buy a bike from a legit shop.

7. Many good shops have used gear.
Never a bad bet to buy used from a legit source. That's what I'd do if I were in your position.
