1. I give it a 6 out of 10
it was very similar to their creature/weirdo of the week episodes, but the plot line for this movie was...well, weak.

On the flip side, it was good to see Mulder/Scully and Skinner back in action again. What I enjoyed the most, was Scully's ethical struggle, at her work.

2. If you're a fan of the series, it's okay. If you're not, it could be almost unwatchable.
I think the first film was much better. If you were disappointed with the first one, the second may leave you...underwhelmed.

3. Good? No, not really.
I went into it with a feeling of "Let's finally get this over with",
and I did. It was like pre-scheduled sex with someone you've been with
for a decade: it got the job done, but it wasn't great enough to
mention to anyone I knew.

Kinda like StarWars Episode III.

9. I walked out of it thinking, "FINALLY, our long National nightmare is over."
If Lucas had made that film FIRST, back in '77,
he'd have spent the last 30 years asking customers
if they "wanted fries with that".

Episode IV was a masterpiece, and he spent 30 years making
5 films to prove that he has NEVER had a clue as to what
made "A New Hope" so great.

NOT A CLUE.

10. I won't argue with you about that cause I agree.
A New Hope is the best of them all and fuck Lucas if he disagree.

But if he had made episode III before...lol WTF about: "Luke,I'm your father" ?

I liked episode III.It's the only prequel that I watched more than once.Oh man,

I'm going to bed. :)

11. Hey, I'd be lying if I said I didn't watch Ep3 more than once.
I've seen it probably 10-15 times now...just like
I've seen "Under Siege II" seven times,
and every episode of MXC at least twice.

It makes for fine "backround noise" when I'm
working on something IMPORTANT at 2:00am
with the TV on.

OK,err Episode III I saw 3-4 times. Episode IV I saw a Brazillion times.Heck,I saw it at the theater in

'77.Ah,memories!

Speaking of cult movies there are some that I saw 20-40 times and most peoples would ask:

What's so special about that movie ?

Well that's a damn good question isn't it ? :)

17. BOY!!!!!!!!
You wanna see "Phantasm" again?
Screw that grainy, Mpeg-compressed crap you get on the internets,
my friend, and step up to a GENUINE video-casette tape.

I'm currently employed as a MANAGER at a thrift store,
and you would not BELIEVE the stuff that passes through this place.

I've acquired TWO copies of "Phantasm" in the last 3 months.
I'd be willing to send you one, if you really want.

Not the original first-release tape, of course.
I plan to be BURIED with that one.

But my second-best copy is a later "MGM Movietime" re-release,
with "4 minutes of never-before-seen" outtakes
and a "Newly Remastered Dolby Stereo Soundtrack"
As a PURIST, I gotta say: "Fuck that noise"
(in all fairness, it has much better cover art)

Anyway, if you want my 2nd-best copy of PHANTASM,
I'll be happy to send it to you.

You remember that classic Schwartzenegger line
when he was in the phone booth in Terminator 1?

"Giff me yhaw ahdres deyah"

22. WhooHoo! I feel like a weiner already!
I understand completely.

You'll find a copy to call yours someday. They're out there.

I've never actually watched this one. I always think the
"4 minutes of bonus footage" will be some really cool
scene that got cut, but it never is.

In this case, I have a feeling that it's 4 minutes worth
of "Angus Scrimm" bumping into overhead mics and doorways.
He's like 6'7", y'know.

4 minutes worth of "BOY....*thud*; OK, CUT, back to places everyone."

26. In February I watched Phantasm on Netflix the "view Instantly" option on my computer. .
The last time I watched that film was probably 25 years ago, when I was a kid. It does stand up to the test of time, if you're into cult favorites. It's the perfect 1970's indy that progressed the horror genre, imho.

The Grail changed my life. I learned at the age of 10 that grown ups can be as weird, silly and twisted as I was. Eeeeeuuuuppp. Bloody Weather. If you love Python, this is the best of the best.

24. Yes. Yes I am.
"Empire" was 2nd best of the series, but it was a DISTANT second.
VERY distant.

"Empire" would have to climb up on its roof with a pair of binoculars
to catch a glimpse of how great "A New Hope" was.

And I was never your friend.

5. It was like one of those throwaway episodes that focuses on one freaky thing, but
expanded into a 2HR movie. For what reason, I have no idea. I guess if you really liked those episodes you might enjoy this, but I thought it sucked hard. I was mildly disappointed with the first movie but still enjoyed it. This one was an utter waste of time.

8. OK,at the end of the season...
just before the first movie, that's where I said WTF is that? Bees? And the main plot was over for

me.And that movie finished to crush that plot line. But after that I started to enjoy those "throwaway

episodes that focuses on one freaky things" even more and enjoyed it.So maybe I'll like the movie or

not.The only way to know is to watch it.I plan to see it tomorrow so I'll post my "review".

My expectations are quite low so maybe it will be fun. Thanks a lot for your opinion grace. :)

18. I know what you mean. I just seemed to me that, after all this time, a movie about
something that could've easily been done in a one-hour episode (and that, frankly, would've been a ho-hum episode at best) was kinda like "why bother"?

They did wrap up a somewhat loose end about their relationship in a matter of a 30 second scene near the beginning that had little to do with the rest of the movie. But seriously, it was so fast my husband was taking a drink of water and missed it.

Let me know what you think when you're done. :hi:

6 out of 10 stars, I guess.

that they didn't get from the last few seasons of the show. And for that, it worked. I personally enjoyed it.

29. I enjoyed it. I rented it, so it was worth $3
It was nice to see Scully & Mulder aging together and apparently happy. The plot of the movie wasn't spectacular and Skinner is sorta forced in there as fan service (or to toss Mitch Pileggi a check). But I'm going through the whole series on DVD now (I'm in the middle of season 5) and it's nice to see that there's a happy ending down the road for the two characters.

Remember season 1 when they both still had their baby fat on them?
