Is it against the rules to post in the Lounge a copycat of a GD thread?
Edited on Tue Mar-31-09 04:50 PM by Critters2
Cuz I read this: "Have the Spaniards offered a reward for any war criminals yet?"

as this: "Have the Spaniels offered a reward for any war criminals yet?".

I wondered who cockers or clumbers would consider war criminals. That big rottweiler down the street?

2. Damn!! I thought I fixed it before anyone would see!
Posting in the Lunge can be quite painful. I don't recommend it. Unless, you know, you're into that sort of thing.

3. If it's not against the rules, it should be.
No offense, but in my 2.5 years of being a member of DU I have never seen a clever or amusing copycat, yours included. I will never understand why copycats are allowed or tolerated; I hate wading through stupid and unfunny copycats trying to get to the threads that actually have something to say. I have actually started to put serial copycatters on ignore.

This, by the way, is why I have never volunteered to be a mod and won't until copycats are banned: I'd just run around closing them on general principle.

I wasn't kidding when I said no offense, despite the tone of this post. I just don't understand why adults who usually seem to have a good sense of humor can stand these stupid things.

4. None taken. If I'm that sensitive, someone should slap me. Hard!
I don't often find copycats amusing, especially when the third or fourth copycat thread shows up. But this time it really did strike me as mildly chucklesome that I misread the word "Spaniard" as "spaniel". Not knee-slappingly funny, mind you, but worth a chuckle.

Have a good evening! :hi:

6. Thanks. :)
After my earlier experience in GD / P today, it's nice to see someone not fly off the handle.

You have a good evening as well. :hi:
