These 9 drawings were done by an artist under the influence of LSD -- part of a test conducted by the US government during it's dalliance with psychotomimetic drugs in the late 1950's. The artist was given a dose of LSD 25 and free access to an activity box full of crayons and pencils. His subject is the medico that jabbed him.

First drawing is done 20 minutes after the first dose (50ug)

An attending doctor observes - Patient chooses to start drawing with charcoal.

The subject of the experiment reports - 'Condition normal... no effect from the drug yet'.

5. According to the DEA (and my own experience)

much of what is being sold as LSD today is another drug entirely. Can't really remember the whole deal, but of all the LSD confiscated only 1% or so was actually LSD.

my last experience was so weird and frightening that I will never ever take it again. I took less than "my usual" and had a complelte and total freakout. Never happened to me before and I am experienced as all get out. SCARY.

I'll stick to Schrooms and other natural things now.

I am telling you I have many friends, all expereienced, that have had serious weird trips over the past year. This is not an anomoly, but seems to be commonplace. for me I have taken LSD at least 1500 times and never ever came close to losing my cookies. But I take on dose (I usually take three) and I am in the hospital. Something is weird as hell and then I stumbled on this that goes a long ways to explain what is going on:

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Crime Laboratory Chemistry Section (West Palm Beach, Florida) recently received two different exhibits of blotter paper, suspected LSD (no photos). The exhibits were seized in Lantana (about 5 miles south of Palm Beach) by the
Lantana Police (no further details). The first exhibit consisted of one quarter inch square of blotter paper, orange on one side and blank on the other; analysis by Erlichs (negative), GC, and
GC/MS indicated not LSD but rather 4-iodo-2,5-dimethoxyamphetamine (DOI). The second exhibit consisted of a rectangular piece of blotter paper, blank on both sides and perforated into three quarter inch squares; analysis (same techniques) indicated not LSD but rather 4-chloro-2,5-dimethoxyamphetamine (DOC). The exhibits were not formally quantitated, but both had a high loading based on their GC chromatograms. This was the first ever submission of DOI in any form, and the third submission of DOC on blotter paper, to the laboratory.

Editor’s Notes: As previously noted, submissions of “blotter acid” actually containing LSD are currently uncommon in the U.S. Most such submissions actually contain either a hallucinogenic
tryptamine or phenethylamine. More recently, the hallucinogenic phenethylamines (one of the “2C” or the “DO” compounds) are becoming predominant.

19. I wonder if you stumbled onto some DOB

I encountered something cautioned as "bad" acid that people were finding way more heavy than they were used to and I believe that's what it was--way more psychedelic than acid and infinitely longer-lasting (as in 24 hours later, we were still enjoying strong visual effects). Unfortunately, after an hour we thought it was just badly stored and weak, so had seconds--and then it kicked in. Normally, it might have been great getting such a long trip, but since we were unprepared, it really took a toll physically. In the end, I was fighting some terrible earworms and referring to it as the Terminator of blotters--just kept dragging you around the dance floor even after you could hardly stay on your feet, grinning in your face the whole while (i.e. no way in hell it was going to let you close your eyes and drop into a coma for another few hours). Can't say it was a bad trip (nor have I ever had one), but it was probably the most intense.

I do know of a guy in the Miami area making honest-to-dog acid, but in a very low-key, boutique way. I do agree that natural is the way to go most times, but every once in a while, you just get the need to throw off the shackles and evolve, y'know?

12. Dunno but the only time I ever did any

it was very hallucinogenic and I was just having a blast at a Dead concert even... dancing in the hot sun of an Oklahoma summer, drinking and smoking hash along with it.

It was a trip whatever the heck it was.

Shrooms don't even compare to that one.

I liked shrooms until I freaked out taking them once and I never wanted to do them again.

I wish more exploration was being done with these kinds of psychotropic drugs. We know so little really, and it seems foolish to think that there isn't some useful, or possibly even beneficial, knowledge to be learned.

LSD is not so geometric and fractal; it is more of an enhanced reality than a complete deconstruction into the abstract (DMT/Salvia).

the thing is, the shrooms taste good. Really good. You can have a chicken, rice, mushroom dinner and trip nuts. They taste way better than storebought white mushrooms. I was really surprised.
