And the bridges burn into the night

Looking back on what has been
realizations it never had been
a swirling, devouring symphony
of voices

anger.
betrayal.
destruction.

the fabric of life torn
in two
friends now become foes
laughter: a hollow echo
poisoning the ears
clawing the mind
evaporating the soul

beer cans strewn
across the room
landmines from the past
screaming,

fuck you.
fucking freak.
you are meaningless.
