On V-Day, 1986, I was driving all over cleveland delivering Balloons, chocolate with a happy face and a song...

Two High Schools, one the kids threw stuff at me and the other was deep in the ghetto. These gang bangers gathered round me and walked me to the woman's class room.

I delivered to a stripper in a dive strip joint and to a hard hat at a construction site. They mixed up with the construction site. It was suppose to be a girl. I didn't think I was going to get out of That one alive.

14 stops, 120 miles...

When I got home, I was too tired for my valentine to have her way with me...

I made over $100 in tips, a lot for those days...

But I decided that maybe this wasn't the way for me to get a foot in the door of the entertainment business.

I hit the books hard and went toward accounting instead.

2. Glory Days!
Great story, Chris...

I can just see you ...

$100 in tips? I'd say you earned it, and then some!

Happy Early V-Day!

:hi:

4. Reminds me of the story my Grandad used to tell...
about being a singing waiter during the 30's. He said during the depression when he would apply for a job, if they asked him if he knew how to do something, he would always say yes. His reasoning was by the time they figured out he couldn't, he would already have his foot in the door.

6. I did that one year when I was in grad school--
it was miserable, not fun at all. My most memorable ones were on a golf course while some guy was trying to get out of the sand trap and in some poor fellow's front yard while he was doing work on his house.

I wished I looked as good now as I did then, though--I was pretty cute in the little "bunny" outfit . . . .
