What movie utterly wastes the talent of a great actor?
I submit Pearl Harbor wasting Dan Akroyd. Why sign a big name actor and comedy legend only to have him spout meaningless one liners as the Intelligence officer?

Christopher Lee, Liam Neeson, Ewen McGregor, Natalie Portman, and several others who had bit parts... all wasted.

3. Jesus Christ, this is a list that might never end...

Poor Meg Ryan in THE DOORS.
Poor Angelina Jolie in GONE IN 60 SECONDS.
Poor Poor Jennifer Connelly in BLOOD DIAMOND.

I'm considering adding Daniel Day Lewis to the list for his wasted greatness in Scorsese's GANGS OF NEW YORK, but that's not because he's "bad" in it but because he's too good for it.

I'm sure if I walked to the bookcase where I keep my DVD's more would just pour out... It is a long long list.

6. Ocean's 13
I cried during that movie because a whole slew of great acting talent was wasted.

Don Cheadle
Casey Affleck
Al Pacino
Brad Pitt
Clooney
Ellen Barkin
Carl Reiner
Elliot Gould
Bernie Mac
Hell, even David Paymer

7. Ahnold in the 4th Batman movie (read body before you respond)
Justification:
1) He was up against George Clooney, who couldn't act his way out of a speeding ticket even if his car is parked at the time.
2) Uma Thurman was, well, bad.
3) Whoever that guy who plays Robin is did an okay in the 3rd movie but over-acted in the fourth.
4) Was anyone else in that movie?

No matter what you think of Ahnold, he was in a whole different league from the rest of the cast. They could have gotten Jerry Lewis to play the role. On the plus side, his character was the only thing making that movie worth bothering with.

10. Oh, and worst tragedy of all: Nearly every movie Al Pacino has made since "Insomnia," especially
"88 Minutes" and that piece of shit he did with De Niro.

Sad.

12. What do you think of his doing King Lear? He's a Shakesperian in
these his autumn years. Should be interesting. I liked that movie about Tobacco he was in..
