Spam!

I've become addicted to the stuff. It stays good forever and I love it's "survival tendencies". When you've got a few bucks you can buy an extra tin for the harder weeks.

3. Seconded.
I'd like to know too! I stopped eating red meat about 5 or 6 years ago, so I guess I'll never know firsthand.

13. SPAM is a contraction of "SPICED HAM" - although the only spice in it is salt.
The Hormel web site is the source of this information. I'm a vegetarian so I have a lot of fun with SPAM facts. Hormel sued Jim Henson and the entire Muppets empire over the character Spaa-Am in Muppets Treasure Island. They eventually dropped it after Jim Henson agreed to let them put Miss Piggy in a can.
