Well, that just friggin sucks

I filed my tax return on 1/16. According to the IRS schedule of direct deposit, I should have received my refund today. I even checked the IRS "Where's my refund?" and it said I should have it by 2-3 (they always list the monday after the deposit so it has time to post at the bank) So I log on to my bank this morning. No refund. So I went back to the IRS site and now the "Where's my refund" is showing I should have it by 2-10. I have 5 friggin dollars in the bank and I really needed that money. I've been e-filing with direct deposit for the last 4 or 5 years. I've never had it not go in on the day it was scheduled to. :(

1. Which service do you use?

TaxAct usually offers 16 days as a guideline, so when I file I just assume that it'll be about 20 days or so.


Still, that sucks for you, though!

2. I used Turbo Tax

I always go by what's listed on the IRS website.

they've already been raided months ago. We're hanging on by the skin of our teeth. Hubby's hours have been cut, and we were hurting before the cut! Still, at least he's still working. So many aren't right now. I count my blessings everyday. It's tough, but we always get by somehow.
