Sunday nights are the worst.
I hate that "work night" feeling I get, knowing that I have to be up early tomorrow and that it is still five days away from Friday. x( Why can't weekends be longer?

The hours they save in commuting time are like getting extra vacation benefits.

42. i did 9-80 when i worked at the Grand Canyon
you needed 3 days off since it took 1 day to get anywhere from there.

heck, even grocery shopping was a 4-5 hour project.

It's just the whole routine I guess. Winter zaps me of energy these days, though it never bothered me before. I guess that's age. x(

7. I combat "Sunday night blues" by following a ritual -
Sunday night is my reserved bubble bath night (sometimes I get a tub during the week too, but I have reserved Sunday night for this purpose!). I get into a hot bath about 8:30, using my favorite scent (B&BW's Moonlight Path or Lavender and Chamomile). I light candles, have a glass of wine or a soothing hot beverage, grab a book and occasionally a piece of good chocolate, and relax until 10:15. At 10:15 I get out, get into comfy lounge clothes, and climb into bed (fresh sheets and all; Sunday is washing bed linens day). At 10:30, Mr. LIW and I watch Hogan's Heroes and then drift off to sleep.

My ritual is amazingly calming and relaxing, and it's both a nice way to wind up the weekend and start the week. It also gives me something to look forward to on Sunday nights. Bathtime is 30 minutes away.

9. That sounds so nice
I really need to shower in the morning or I can't wake up, otherwise I would take a bath before bed. My Sunday ritual used to be going to sleep early with a good book, but since I started school I haven't been reading as much for fun.

Instead of 5 days until Friday, it's only 3 days until Lost.

15. That was true of a job I quit - it wasn't just Mondays
and I decided my health had to come first and I couldn't stay at that job much longer. It sucked because the job itself was great for me, but my supervisors were a nightmare.

23. I used to feel that way when I went to school.
And for a long time I felt that way once I moved to the work force. But now - not so much anymore. I'm busy seven days a week so I no longer get that anxious feeling on Sunday nights.

Now I work full time and go to school at night, so I feel like I never have any time to myself all week.

35. When I was working
I didn't want to go out at all on Sunday, so that I could savor the last hours at home.

I'm retired now, so Sunday is just another day, as are Monday, Tuesday, etc.

I am, of course, much happier now!
