1. OSU is going to lose by, 20 or 30 points.
The Big Ten is an overrated, slow conference. They have been left back in the 90s.

4. The '90s? More like the early 70s.
Too many schools still buying into the stupid Woody Hayes belief that "three things can happen when you pass, and two of them are bad".

15. My complaint is with the overrated Big 10
A boring conference that gets puffed up because of television coverage in new York.

Look at this year's Bowl results.

Florida State over Wisconsin
Mizzou over Northwestern
Kansas over Minnesota
USC over Penn State
Georgia over Michigan State

Only Iowa won, and they had the good fortune of playing the masters of flopping in the clutch, South Cackalacky.

Yet next season, OSU and company will benefit from trumped-up "strength of schedule" criteria in the polls.

in triple overtime with a quarterback no one thought could do it. That was better than the Rose Bowl to Buckeye fans.

32. Oddly enough ...

Of all the fans I've dealt with from an opponent's perspective, Texas fans are among my favorites, second to Nebraska fans. During the years at OU between Switzer and Stoops when we lost ALL THE TIME, I had dinner and drinks bought for me after OU losses at OU-TX games several times and had fans tell me they wished OU would get better again so that the rivalry meant more.

I do hate though, and all my hate is directed squarely at Ohio State.

22. I propose a new rating system ...

Find a team no one that doesn't go there has ever heard of and crown them national champions. I don't care what their record is. Hell, I don't even care if they have a team. Find a couple dozen people willing to dress up in football uniforms and take a picture some Saturday afternoon and publish that picture as the team photo of the champions.

Makes more sense than what we have, where every good team is derided by someone, somewhere as overrated.

28. God, another Big 12 stink bomb
When is the NCAA going to recognize that the Big 12 just flat isn't a BCS conference? A mediocre Ohio State team has held "mighty" Texas to 3 first half points. Florida, which has some claim to being in the championship game, is going to crush Oklahoma come Thursday night.

The Big 12 is a very bad joke, keeping a lot of far more deserving teams out of the BCS bowls.

If there was a legitimate system, i.e., a playoff, the Trojans would win in a walk. I say this as an SEC fan with no personal connection to the Pac 10 or Southern Cal.

44. I'd like to see USC-Florida
Because, as I say, Florida has some claim (inexplicable loss to Ole Miss or Ole Miss State, whoever it was, aside) to competing for the national championship. But after seeing USC's dismantling of Penn State in the Rose Bowl, it's hard for anyone who isn't getting paid to say it (looking at you Fox chuckleheads) to claim that Florida-Oklahoma represents the two best teams this year in college football.

73. and Oklahoma lost to Texas, Florida and TT lost to Miss, who lost to Alabama
who lost to Utah...

If Oklahoma beats Florida, Texas will have beaten the "National Champions," but lost to the team that lost to Alabama, who was beaten by Florida, who was beaten by Utah. If Florida wins, then the "National Champion" will have lost to Mississippi, who lost to Alabama, who lost to Utah.

Utah's the only possible "National Champion."

The whole idea of a national champion in college football is dumb. There are too many teams, and not enough common opponents. It's like the argument in "Stand By Me," about who would win a fight between Superman and Mighty Mouse. The only team with an unarguable case this year is Utah, and they won't even be considered.
