If you live near I-81, could I get a weather report?

We've decided to cancel our Christmas trip to Boston based on weather forecasts and observations.
:-(

I-81 north of VA looks pretty bad, as does the NY Thruway (I-87) and the MassPike.
If you live near these highways I'd appreciate hearing what's actually happening weather wise.

2. MA Pike

I'm out near Boston, but basically, it's snowing across the entire state. Has been since Friday. Today's supposed to be the last of it, and it will be clear Monday and Tuesday, with rain and 45 deg. temp. on Wednesday.

I had posted this elsewhere:

I left GA Friday morning around 5AM. Lotsa fog in SC, NC and VA (I-20E to I-77N to I-81N). I hit rain a little south of Harrisburg. About 30 miles north of Harrisburg I hit snow.

There's a mountain pass south of Scranton thu the Allegheny mountains that is a bear in crappy weather. It was (kinda) raining, I had been on the road only 10 hours, and there was a big-ass truck that appeared to be doing OK, so I decided to follow him thru the (kinda) rain. I made it to the other side of Scranton (by this time 12.5 hours). Crashed at a Comfort (not) Inn.

After 10 hours of sleep got up this morning, ate breakfast and hit the road.

I pulled into my driveway around 1:30 this afternoon.

I'm pooped and my car is seriously brown from road shits.

So how many miles of snow do you have already?

I'm a geezer, so we don't beat ourselves to death on road trips any more.
2 1/2 days from the Alabama gulf coast to our daughter's near Boston.
We'd still like to get there ASAP, with the emphasis on the 'P'.
I'm gonna wait it out until I can see at least 3 days of clear weather.
