How do you feel about those 'AnnsWeightloss.com' banner ads at the top of DU's frontpage?

1. Not seeing it. Even when I logged out, the only banner ad I saw was for Ford pickups

Bragging about 21 mpg struck me as either sad or comical, but it was all I got even with 4 or 5 reloads.

3. Women who don't know how to dress for their bodies

Well, I didn't see the ad, but I went to the website after you posted this, and I was struck by the same thing I'm often struck by about these ads. They show women in deliberately unflattering clothing and poses, wearing things that a woman of that weight or shape would normally never wear. If you've got a gut like that, you sure as hell don't wear a pair of jeans that let it hang over, accompanied by a midriff top like that. So, what I was thinking was: if she was wearing something more flattering in her "before" picture -- something unlike that skin-tight track-suit --she'd look like a lot of women I know, and that would be just fine.
