Car buying advice sought.
I'm going to be home for christmas and I was thinking that perhaps the current economic situation might be conducive to getting a better deal. Would looking for a car one or two days before Christmas enable me to drive a harder bargain due to the strain of a slow moving holiday season?

1. Friday or Saturday on last day of month
bonus money is on the line and other things like incentives etc may expire. We saved last time we did this. Know your credit score too so you can't be fucked about on an interest rate. We knew ours and it threw the salesman..... Me...well we will qualify then. We did all negotiations via email so it was in writing. good luck!

cash talks! You can also research exactly what you want and get the price. Ask the dealer how much they want to make on the car if they say X amount (you already know what they paid) and it does not match up you can decline.

10. Nice
I wish I would have gotten to see them back in 1968 while in their prime. Do you know Danu? If you have not heard of them check them out.

7. The closer to the end of the year, the better the deal.
The dealerships have to pay taxes on inventory so they want the least amount in stock as possible.

8. It depends
Are you a union-hating latte liberal who's living on your parents' trust fund and is addicted to Starbucks, or are you a true liberal?

9. They are hurting
so any time between now and then should be good for bargaining.

For that matter, car bargains will probably be readily available even after the first of the year, this year (though end-of-the-year logic still applies somewhat).
