3. Cruxifiction usually last longer

I believe that most burned victims lose consciousness within a relatively short time as they breathe in smoke.
Cruxifiction can last over a day. Jesus suffered a lot of police brutality ahead of time which made him die quicker than most victims. I believe that some sadistic Christians in some cultures actually do get cruxified for the amount of time Jesus did, are taken down, and recover as a way to show their devotion.

...crucifixion victims usually died of asphyxiation--eventually they simply didn't have the strength to breathe after being whipped and tortured and hung out to dry.

they actually used to do that. I think some times they might have went easier on you and used scorpions, so you would be stung to death more quickly, instead of baking in the hot sun while dying slowly from fire ant stings, Im not 100% sure on that.

9. Being Impaled

This is usually called "Transfixion", from where we get our word "transfixed".

The race is between suffocation, as with crucifixion, and internal bleeding, since the pole is sharpened and usually driven into the victim's rectum (some impalings just involved tying the victim up). Death can happen within minutes, or take three or four days, just as with crucifixion. Internal bleeding can be reduced by artful placement of the pole. A good impaler was said to be able to stake out a victim with only a few drops of blood from the broken skin.

Like crucifixion, the victim struggles to get air, especially if the pole has injured the diaphragm. However, the struggle increases the pain (and the blood loss). Where a crucifixion victim could be rescued and have a good chance of survival, simply taking the impaling victim off the pole would open all the internal wounds and cause a torrent of bleeding and death within minutes or hours.

The "Death of A Thousand Cuts" was also bad. There are several photos of the practice, since it was still being used as late as 1925 in some Asian countries.
