1. Marge doesn't make me ill to witness, and Marge doesn't want to fry the planet to appease

her version of God. Not that I know of, at least.

4. I think Marge's interests lie in five key areas:

1). Being a decent person

2). Doing the job she's paid to do to the best of her ability

3). Being a kind and loving wife, and (as the "story" continues beyond the end of the movie) a great mother

4). Treating others with respect, no matter how much they get in her face

5). Getting Norm's duck paintings on something other than the 2 cent stamp.

But not necessarily in that order.

2. I chose "all of the above," although I could've also chosen "other."

The "other" being that Marge is actually an intelligent, capable woman, whereas Palin is the proverbial empty pantsuit (or "smiley gladhand," as Maynard James Keenan might put it).

3. Biggest difference: Marge is a fictional person we wish were real; Palin is a real person

that we wish were fictional, except that even if she were fictional, we still wouldn't believe in the character. We'd be knocking our heads on the wall while reading the novel, going "She's too unrealistic! I can't get into this novel!!!! She's not a character at all - she's just a hamfisted uncreative caricature!!!!"

Which is to say, she utterly crushes our ability to suspend disbelief.
