Just got a note from Stock servies company saying that a box containing customers personal data came up missing in February of this year, and it looks like my data may have been compromised. They assure me they have taken steps yada, yada, yada. That there is no evidence anyone has used any of this info excetera.

Nice they didn't let me know until now. I do check on my one credit card and bank regularly any way. Nothing has happened there. Anything else I should do?

Damn it, this is all because of my stupid Life Insurance company. I didn't invest in the stock, they did, and all I get is a stupid 15 check now and then. This year I probably won't even get that, and now they lost my private info on top of it. Asshats.

1. You can contact the three major credit reporting agencies

and put a "fraud alert" on all your accounts. That's what I had to do a few years ago when someone absconded with my wallet. Recently, my B of A credit card info was compromised, but they changed my account #

You do have a good point there as regards to most credit card companies. You will need to notify them individually unless you have one of those "card-guard" thingys. Sorry, my computer is really acting up right now and I keep typing shit into the wrong places because of it. Have yet to figure that one out!
