6. Don't do it.

If you get caught you'll be screwed.

If you don't have a CDL then you probably don't have a medical card. Also, you have no current log book and ZERO history of using one.
How much experience do you have driving a 75 foot long articulated vehicle equipped with airbrakes and a multi-speed (perhaps 10-plus gears) transmission? Ever driven such a vehicle in the rain? At night?

Don't fucking do it. You get pulled over and the Trooper AND the DOT will have a field day with you.

On edit to add another point or two and then I have to go to bed:

I can not emphasize enough how risky this proposal is for you.

Even though you may be perfectly capable of operating this vehicle safely, what happens if you get into an accident? Even a teensy, tiny little barely a scratch one in a truck stop? And the cops are called.

I'm tellin' ya man, from a guy who has held a commercial drivers license since the late 1970's, you are asking for waay more trouble than you are probably prepared to deal with if you drive a semi from Texas to the Indiana with no license, no medical card, no logbook history and no proof a legitimate company hired you and did the required pre-employment drug screen. The cops will throw an entire library of books at you.

8. Enjoy your stay at the crossbar hotel.
No legitimate company/employer would hire a non-CDL holder to move their freight. You are being had by some shady guys trying to move contraband. Assuming it is van freight, there is no one paying that kind of rate out of TX to IN right now, unless it's reefer freight.

They do this all the time at the IN/OH line, on EB 70:

The cops are tipped off as to which T/T has *some* dope in it, usually by the guys that payed to move the product, and that driver gets pulled over and searched with the canine team.

While they are busy, the *real* load of dope rolls through.

9. The legal costs for getting pulled over and detained will more than eat up your $2500.
And that's just assuming the cargo is legal. If the cargo is not legal, I recommend you watch a few episodes of Oz before you put that truck into drive.

11. Cargo? and, are you sure?
Odd they can't find a licensed trucker, especially with the unemployment rate.

I wouldn't trust it, and $2500 is not worth doing time over.
