I've heard much worse. Forgotten words. Wrong words ("perilous flight," "perilous night"). Mispronounced words all the time ("What so proudly we helled," "perolis fight"). Singers changing keys when they realize they aren't gonna make the high note.

This was just pretty much typical "adding style" — which usually sucks, I think, and it sucked this time. But it's a long way from the worst ever.

Maybe if the song weren't so fucking awful, fewer people would feel the need to "add style." (Dog, how I wish we had an anthem like "O Canada.")

25. Way back in the ancient days

before VCRs & TBS was still WTCG from Atlanta, there was a singer who was so awful at singing the National Anthem, the cameras panned to the baseball players, who had their heads bowed down as if they were in prayer, but you could see them laughing. The capper: when the game announcer said "This was the only time the National Anthem was played....and lost."

My mom & I were on the floor :rofl: by that point.
