I am so excited. I think our ship might be coming in....

I am trying to be cautiously optimistic, but I am excited.

My husband looks to have secured a deal to develop a major auction house with a very serious, well connected, and wealthy investor. This guy is major major major league. And, he scouted my husband. He (my husband) has been working hard and doing the dirty work for years.

He met with him, yesterday. And, it went as well as it could have possibly gone.

It is weird and feels a little surreal. I am not counting my chickens just yet, however, as I know things can happen. Still, it looks really good. My husband actually has been doing very well despite the economy, and it makes it doubly weird because we always struggled through the 'good' economic times, just barely holding on. But, it has taken him nearly eight years to develop his business this far, so it isn't a 'overnight' thing. You can just get so discouraged working for so long, for so little that it feels unreal when the efforts actually start to pay off.

I am so happy for him. He has great vision and ability and I have always believed with the right opportunity, he could do really big things. What they are working on could be a huge economic boon for the little town we live in as well! If we can pull this off, we will give back to the community big time with charity auctions and benefits. That is another great thing about this opportunity. It isn't sleazy or ethically corrupt like so many businesses. It can actually be run very successfully and be able to reach out and lift others up as well. He has already started to employ a small group of friends, and kept them going through the summer.

Anyway, keeping my fingers tightly crossed! :)

4. That's awesome. So happy for you!
:D

Start practicing your autograph. ;-)

The auction business is rough one. I used to go to a lot of auctions and I sometimes really wondered how the house stayed in business. Lots were sometimes slim pickings.

13. there's nothing I love more than a good auction!
If I lived near where you are, I'd support your bidness with bells on. Will there be online bidding available?
