1. Being splattered with hot cooking oil sucks ass, to say the least.
I once got hit with a glob on the leg when I was frying something while wearing shorts. I had a scab there for weeks, although the hair did eventually grow back.

9. Sounds like you speak from experience.
I mean, that is a pretty odd guess to pull from thin air.

11. For your information, our fondue set was never opened
Edited on Mon Sep-08-08 07:04 PM by LostinVA
It sits in it's original packaging on a shelf in the dining room.

Hot wax is better than hot oil. Idiot.

14. Check your PM
Anyway, that fondue recipe does sound pretty good. We're just too lazy and cheap to do fondue. Anyway, we rarely have company, because of the dog. He's annoying to guests, especially female guests, because he's a total ladies man.

15. I concluded long ago that fondue is only fun when somebody else fixes it FOR you.
Confession: I had a fondue set from my first (unfortunate) marriage, and it, too, remained unopened in the top of a closet until I unloaded it on craigslist.

16. Guess what you're going to get for a wedding present if you take the plunge again?
At least it's not avocado green.

19. I was cooking my favorite chicken dish for lunch for the next day
It's basically chicken, olive oil, oregano, garlic and lemon all mixed together and baked in the oven. With the last 10 minutes left you pull the pan out of the oven and remove the chicken from the pan. Then you put a bag of spinach in the bottom of the pan, add an extra 2 tbsp of olive oil drizzled over the spinach and put the chick back on top of the bed of spinach.

Yummy eats!
