Do you ever have this trouble of having a phrase
stuck in your head? I'm talking about a phrase or sentence, NOT a song.

The phrase I can't get out of my head is my father's voice asking, "You mean he's some kind of fishman?" or sometimes "You mean he's some kind of chickenman?"

I asked my father about this, but he has no idea what it means.

Does this ever happen to you? What gets stuck in your head besides songs?

1. Lately it's been the F word.
Yeah, that one. Probably been watching too much Gordon Ramsey. Even though they bleep it out, I know what it is he's saying. Either I;m getting overly frustrated about stuff or something. I have to watch my mouth since i do deal with the public and have a son who I don't want copying me.

Also I sometimes have Monty Python phrases stuck in my head. Never Expect the Spanish Inquisition being one of the ones that gets stuck there from time to time.

3. I had that happen with one of Kevin James' lines from "King of Queens"
In response to something Deacon thought was 'off the hook'.

"Off the hook, or very much ON the hook?"

That line was with me for like a week.

5. Something like...
"These pretzels are making me thirsty." From Seinfeld

6. Sometimes...
Mostly it's music though.

There's some form of music going through my head ALL the time.

Rarely whole songs, just melodic bits, and many times just chord changes looping and looping.

It can be quite annoying when I'm trying to compose.

The only time it goes away is when I'm actually playing music.
