She will be losing her right leg, all of it, due to cancer today (Wednesday). She's been in A LOT of pain for quite some time now so she's looking forward to the leg going, but learning to live without a leg will not be easy.

I was just reading about how well Edward Kennedy, Jr. is doing, as I remembered that he had cancer and had his leg amputated in 1973 when he was twelve years old.
