A request

My unemployment request has to go through Ohio since I haven't exhausted all my benefits there. Wisconsin is much more worker-friendly when it comes to unemployment than Ohio. In two days, my former employer has to respond to the state of Ohio's request for additional information. Then it must be reviewed and a ruling issued. A lot of "ifs" and a lot of time...

Please keep good thoughts for me. Right now they're holding two weeks of benefits pending review of the information submitted. I NEED this money to buy gas, groceries and pay rent. Even if I took a job this week, I wouldn't get a check until the first week in September.

So, for what I hope is the last time, please say a little prayer for me and Lelapin.

12. I checked my unemployment account online this morning

two weeks of benefits are still being held. x(

So, I'll logon again in the morning after their nightly update. This is getting old.

Oh, and to add to the excitement? Lelapin's financial aid at OSU is on hold because we were selected for verification. I sent the documents in weeks ago. She still doesn't have a financial aid award and classes start in a month.

I need an island with a cabana boy. Any volunteers??
