2. had a grilled rib eye
little bit o' salt and pepper.

flame-kissed for 2 mins per side.

The weird thing is there is a pasture adjacent to my house and the cows watch me while I grill. (yes i live in Texas)

I think one day I'm gonna awake in my bed, and there'll be this big cow standing over me with a kind of malevolence in her squinting, reptilian-like eyes as she thrusts the grill fork deep into my breast....and twists it while her ferocious bovine countanence slowly slips into a sweet smile as my body convulses and the blood spews from the rhythm of my beating heart that is now silent.

3. that could happen
When I lived in Africa for a summer we had a herd of cattle. Scrawny cattle. One weekend on of them was slaughtered for a big feast. While the cow was being slaughtered on the back porch, the whole herd walked up to the house mooing. It was kind of threatening. Apparently they missed the cow that we were having for dinner.

5. help me decide: leftover homemade chili
or go to the trouble of thawing out meat and grilling.

never mind I talked myself into the chili, having just looked at the clock.

But I will get meat out of the freezer for tomorrow
