I gather most of the people that posted in this thread don't have a clue what "hog hunting" even is. (It's quite a bit more challenging than deer hunting, I can tell you. Of course if one's version of liberalism excludes hunting altogether, then I suppose the dismissals make sense.)

I'm not averse to talking to him, at least initially. That's true for just about everyone. Though I did stop talking to one guy, because he litterally waited for me to sign on and the minute I did, wanted to ping me to chat. I didn't like him wanting to monopolize my time like that.

But I'm thinking we have major differences that can't be smoothed over. I don't know, maybe he looks at me as a little "walk on the wild side" from his nice conservative life. Who knows. :shrug:

If he's actually your typical conservative knuckle-dragger, he wouldn't have a very high opinion of women's ability to hold a valid opinion in general. So, when you hook up, you'll naturally go over to his side of the lord ... in his mind.

But, seriously, I asked the question mostly because on a first reading, I pegged this guy as someone who was in a relationship where the woman cheated on him. (Maybe he cheated too ... dunno ... can't tell.) Country boy (lots of liberal country boys), likes nature (odd how the "country boy" image seems to conflict with the liberal image, given they both have an interest in natural resource conservation), and seems kind.

Anyway ... I'm not one to give out advice on this sort of thing, so don't take anything I say as even meaningful. I just thought a lot of the comments got too focused on the "country boy" aspect and associated that with a natural incompatibility with liberalism, which, imo, is inaccurate.

maybe it was some silly quiz, and realized too late that I had registered. They were bugging me for a profile for a while, but I ignored them, hoping they would go away.

Sure enough, every two weeks like clockwork I get an email saying someone's checking out my imaginary profile, and it's always a link to a chat or porn site.
