Dammit, the male kittehs are killing my garden and I need them to stop it
I am at my wit's end, and so are my boxwoods. (!!!) I've read that coffee grinds will stop it, the same for citrus peels, but will it hurt the plants? I don't know what to do and I don't want to hurt the kittehs who come a callin' for my pretty diva cat, who will be getting fixed as soon as she's done nursing her litter, which I am keeping each and every one. :)

But I want this shit with my garden to stop. NOW.

Anybody got any suggestions?

1. Mothballs?
My mom used to sprinkle them around to keep the cats out of her flower gardens. I think they dissolve when it rains, though.

I don't think either coffee grounds or citrus peels would hurt your plants. I never heard of them as a cat-repellent.

3. thanks. I'll try anything.
I am considering a sensor operated sprinkler. That'll keep 'em gone, I think.

2. I've heard that red pepper flakes (like the ones people put on pizza) work well.

7. I think they don't like the smell.
Even though, for God's sake, they'll eat CANNED CAT FOOD, the most vile substance on Earth, apparently they don't care for pepper.

9. Coffee and citrus will add acid to the soil.
Bear that in mind. May I suggest a squirt gun?

11. I thought that is what would happen....
and that's no better for my plants than the cats killing them. The problem with a squirt gun is I rarely actually catch them in my garden (but I've seen them enough to know they're there)

12. do you know of any kitty resistant bushes?
My grasses have been affected, as have my hollies and my boxwoods but my citronella plants seem to be thriving.

13. what on earth are they doing?
spraying or pooing on your boxwoods? Boxwoods smell like cat shit on their own, they don't need any assistance from kittehs!
