The move has been postponed indefinitely (probably cancelled)... too much stuff here that we can't leave, or at the very least, aren't ready to right now. Getting ready to really start packing up and making the move made us realize that we were counting down how many more times we'd get to do things or see people, instead of counting down to things we'd get to do in Germany.

Hugs will be doled out all around, I promise! :)

17. As someone who's been through WAY too many moves...

...there are only 2 things I'll suggest that have both helped me over the years. One, keep in close contact with your friends/family from where you just moved, and two, get out of the house (and explore your new city) as much as you can. Major emphasis on that second thing. The activity will help get your mind off things, and you'll probably find yourself with a growing affection for the new city (and Milwaukee, from what I understand, is a pretty neat place).

Oh, and I'll add "long hot baths" to Sugar Smack's excellent list. Good for the soul, they are.
