Firefox Question: does RC3 = Final ?

I downloaded RC3 over the weekend. I think I read somewhere that this is the same as the final version that was released yesterday. When I check for updates Firefox says I have the latest version. Some people are saying in the computer group that the final version is different. I really like FF3 from what I have seen so far.
