I have discovered the secret to good jazz
For it to be any good there has to be some sass and attitude in the way the instruments are played, and the words are sang. Without it, it seems as if the song is lifeless and boring.

Prove me wrong. I dare you.

6. Although if you're new to free/avant-garde jazz, you should start with something else.
Ornette Coleman's "The Shape of Jazz to Come" or Eric Dolphy's "Out to Lunch" are great.

I am not so drunk that I don't remember that it was called, the Birth of the Cool...

Although I think everything newer than Charlie Parker and Miles Davis pretty much sucked.
